Natchez, MS – April 16, 2025 — Phibro rCB proudly celebrated another major milestone today, marking the completion of important railway upgrades that will support its end-of-life tire processing facility in Natchez, Mississippi. Company leaders, Natchez Railway representatives, and local officials gathered to commemorate this advancement, which strengthens the facility’s operations and its connection to the broader community.

Since acquiring the Natchez facility in early 2024, Phibro rCB has continued its mission to turn end-of-life tires into high-value products such as recovered carbon black and tire pyrolysis oil—key ingredients found in a variety of everyday goods. The completion of the rail connection marks a significant step in enhancing the facility’s logistics and expanding its reach.

"Phibro rCB’s vision is to lead the global effort in eliminating waste by transforming end-of-life tires into sustainable, renewable materials," said Fabrizio Zichichi, Managing Partner of Phibro rCB. "By recovering carbon black and producing renewable oils, we’re helping to create a truly circular tire lifecycle. Our commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship is matched by our deep connection to Adams County, our partners, and now the Natchez Railway. We are excited that rail cars will now be a part of our journey in Natchez. Our dream is to establish Natchez as the Capital of Sustainable Carbon Black, setting a new standard for sustainability in this industry."

Together, we’ve completed the critical track improvements to serve this important industrial site, and we look forward to continuing to connect Natchez businesses to broader markets."

Expanding the business to incorporate rail transportation is a major milestone for our community. Thanks to Natchez Railway’s investment and collaboration, rail service has been successfully restored to our industrial site, opening new opportunities for economic growth."
